The story
Every studio has to start somewhere. For RISA, starting meant doing exactly what we ask of our clients — sitting with the hard questions before touching a single design file.
Who is this for. What do we actually believe. What makes us different from every other agency calling themselves a design studio.
The answers shaped everything.

The Outcome
The name came first. RISA — the Spanish word for smile — named for the quiet emotional response that good design produces. Not the reaction to something flashy or clever. The feeling of encountering something that was made with genuine care and got it exactly right.
From there the identity followed. A palette rooted in the materials of the built environment — forest, stone, sage, plum. A wordmark in Tenor Sans that reads with the same quiet confidence we want our clients to project. An arch mark above the name — the smile redrawn as a structural element, the thing architects spend careers understanding how to build.
The website was built to do one thing — communicate clearly and without noise. No carousel. No stock photography. No vague language about holistic approaches. Just a direct statement of what RISA does, who it's for, and why it matters.
Building our own brand taught us what we already knew but needed to prove — that the process of communicating a studio's value with intention is the same whether the studio makes websites or buildings. It requires honesty, restraint, and the willingness to say something specific instead of something safe.
